Services
You can place online reserves with Groton and Waterford, and we will call you when the material is delivered. CIRCULATION: Books, audio tapes, paperbacks and magazines circulate for three weeks; new books on reserve circulate for 10 days. Feature videos circulate for two nights with no charge; children's movies circulate for one week. They must be returned TO THE CIRCULATION DESK. Renewals of most materials may be made by phone or online. Late charges are $.10 per day per item for everything except videos. The late charge for videos is $2 per day. FACILITIES: A meeting room is available for public use, as well as a community bulletin board and two display cases. A table for free books and magazines is located in the front hall. We have typewriters, copiers, computers with internet access and a FAX for public use.WIRELESS INTERNET: The library provides wireless access for users with their own laptop computers equipped with wireless network cards. Printers are not available via the wireless connection. If you need to print, save to a floppy disk and use one of the public workstations to print. PUZZLES:The library has more than 250 puzzles that can be checked out for a three week period. READER SERVICES: We now have circulating libraries at Stoneridge, Academy Point and Mystic River Homes. Books and videos are available for use by the residents of those facilities. The collections change every three months. We also deliver books to the homebound. DOWNLOADABLE AUDIO BOOKS: There are over 900 titles available now and they are adding an average of 49 titles per month. Foreign language instruction downloads will also be available, but e books cannot be downloaded. To set up an account please e-mail the library at mnl@juno.com.
